About Mewali Organic Family Farm
Our farm is built around a permanent raised bed market garden system. We are a no till farm and don’t use tractors or heavy machinery. Instead, we focus on treating the soil as a living system, feeding it, protecting it, and letting it do the work of feeding the plants.
By avoiding disturbance and working by hand, we create a farm that is closer to a garden than a field. This approach allows us to give care and attention to every bed, every crop, and every harvest. It’s slower, but it’s the way we believe food should be grown, with respect for the soil and for the people who eat from it.
Healthy soil means healthy plants, and healthy plants mean food that tastes better, lasts longer, and nourishes more deeply.
Our farm is still in its early days. We are continuing to expand, with plans for more greenhouses, garden beds, and even more variety in our crops. We will continually search for the best varieties in the world.
Beyond growing food, we want to share what we have learned and help educate others about this way of farming. Our dream is to keep feeding our community with the kind of food we are proud to serve our own children.
